Practice What You Preach

A man pulls up to a red light behind one other car. He notices the
driver of the car in front of him is talking on his cell phone and
appears to be shuffling through some papers on the seat beside him. The light
turns green, but the driver doesn't notice. The man waits, but the driver
doesn't notice the light change. The man begins pounding on his steering wheel
and yelling at the man to move. The car doesn't move. The man is going
ballistic inside his car, ranting and raving at the car ahead, pounding
on his steering wheel and dash. The light turns yellow. The man begins
to blow the car horn and screams and curses at the man. The driver
hearing the commotion, looks up, sees the yellow light and accelerates through the
intersection just as the light turns red.

The man is beside himself, screaming in frustration as he misses his
chance to get through the intersection. As he is still in mid-rant he
hears a tap on his window and looks up into the barrel of a gun held by a
very serious looking policeman. The policeman tells him to shut off his
engine while keeping both hands in sight. He complies, speechless at what is
happening. After he shuts off the engine the policeman orders him to
exit his car with his hands up. He gets out of the car and he orders him to
turn and place his hands on his car. He turns, places his hands on the car
roof and is then quickly cuffed and hustled into the waiting patrol car. He
is too bewildered by the chain of events to ask any questions and he is
driven to the police station where he is read the Miranda rights,
fingerprinted, photographed, searched, booked, and placed in a cell.

After a couple of hours a policeman approaches the cell and opens the
door for him. He is escorted back to the booking desk where the original
officer is waiting with his personal effects. He hands him the bag containing
his things, and says, "You can go now. We found you are not guilty of a
crime. The reason I brought you in is I pulled up behind your car while you
were blowing your horn and cussing a blue streak at the person in the car in
front of you. Then I noticed the "God Loves You" license plate holder
and the "Follow Me to Sunday School" bumper sticker and the chrome plated
Christian fish emblem on the trunk so naturally I assumed you had
stolen the car.

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a
man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without
thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." James 2:17-18
